| when you think you have it rough, think about the thousands of people who have someone in their life dying of cancer.
i just got off the phone with my friend, because i had a bad dream. i don't know that i've ever had to go through something as rough as what he is going through now.
and i hope i never do.
Lord bless Chris Parker and his heart.

| We are doing great. Things are slowly coming to the point of "normal" around here. haha... boy am I ready for that! We have been shaping up our apartment and I have to say, it's coming along nicely! It's so amazing being married. It's like... this ultimate feeling and reality of maturity. It's something alright. It brings on a newer sense of responsibility that is so permanent it's comforting. It's like, yeah, i'm finally here....
A lot is going on! :
~i have a wife ~new apartment ~great weather ~adorable puppy ~great job ~skypiper is doing very well and we have a steady flow of new songs ~close friends ~close families ~great new records.... ahhhhh....
aaaannnnnnnndddd coffee's done.

| when all is said.
calm is nice. simple is beautiful. peace is peace.
my life has been moving so quickly the past few years, sometimes it's almost impossible for me to put into perspective everything i have gained and lost.
i don't think, or i like to not think, that God intended for our lives to move this quickly. nevertheless, it does, and there really is nothing i can do to slow it. why should there be? and why do i want a slow life anyhow? i guess it's because i find myself regretting a lot of things. for instance, not really hanging out with a lot of people i love and used to hang out with, more. that stuff eats at me. i really want to stop, sometimes, and just live one thing at a time.
does that make sense?
i also miss writing in here. this is great. i don't even have time to journal in my real journal.
there is so much to catch everyone up with.
i'm married, to a beautiful woman!
we both currently have sunburns from spending half of a day at the beach here in chicago. i am stupidly sunburned and will be wearing sunscreen all throughout winter just in case. sunburns are stupid when you don't tan from it. it's like, whats the point?
anyway.
me, living life, slowing down, speeding up- you know how it is.
love, ~gabriel
